ABOUT

Lorea Salaberria Agirreburualde (Donostia 1989) is a designer and cultural manager who combines the activity of her architecture studio (Hiruki studio) with collaboration with different cultural institutions.

He studied Technical Architecture at the University of the Basque Country and completed a master's degree in Design and Production of Exhibition Spaces in Barcelona (UPC-CCCB).

Between 2018 and 2019 she worked at the Bilbao Museum of Fine Arts and was the Directions Assistant to coordinate the competition for the renovation and expansion of the museum. She also collaborated in the technical production of the exhibitions ABC the Museum's Alphabet, After '68, Zuloaga, Los Zubiaurre, Jardín Infinito of Bosch and the installation Hanging Figures by Juan Muñoz in the Museum Hall among others.

During 2021 she was the production coordinator of the Fabra i Coats Contemporary Art Center in Barcelona with Joana Hurtado Matheu as Artistic Director, where she directed the production of the exhibitions Periferia de la Noche by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Els Tres Porquets by Albert Serra, Cascar a Lua Nut Coderch, Robert F. Kennedy funeral train of Rein Jelle Terpstra.

In 2018, she curated and designed the exhibition El Amparo and its cooks (La Encartada Fabrika Museoa, Balmaseda, 2018 - Ondare aretoa, Bilbao 2019), an exhibition that sought to pay tribute to the legendary Bilbao restaurant and recipe book El Amparo and thus vindicate the fundamental role of its owners and other chef women as responsible for the transformation of the new modern Basque cuisine.
